Waynetown Feb 2 – Charles B. Sayers, 79, died of pneumonia at his home here Saturday at 8:55 p.m.  Born here, he was married in 1883 to Jennie A. Anderson of Frankfort.  He taught school here and was in the grocery business in Wingate and Wadena.  He had lived here for 23 years and served as deacon of the Wingate Christian Church.  He is survived by his wife, three daughters: Mrs. Chester Whitmyer, Elkhart; Mrs. EB Moore, Indianapolis and Mrs. Jesse Mullen, Waynetown and a sister, Mrs. Mary V. Fouts, Indianapolis.  Private services will be held from the family residence Tuesday at 12:30 p.m; Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. The body then will be taken to the Grenard Funeral Home here where it will lie in state until 2 p.m. at which time additional services will be held, Rev. CA Duncan officiating, assisted by Rev. TC Overman; burial in the local Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
